Basseterre, St. Kitts, 23rd January, 2019 (MyVueNews.com) – Police instituted precautionary security measures Tuesday, as Omax Bye went on trial at the Court in Basseterre for the murder of businessman Gregory Mills.
Visitors to independence Square would have been prevented from using the southeast quadrant of the square that was cordoned off by police tape. Special police forces could also be seen in and around the Lee L. Moore Judicial Complex that houses the court.
It was in May 2017 that Gregory, operator of Greg’s Pizza on Cayon Street, Basseterre, was gunned down in Gillard’s Meadows. Some time late that afternoon, Mills was driving in the area when he was attacked and fatally shot in his vehicle.
