Locations for Nominations revealed

Basseterre, 23rd May, 2020, (MyVueNews.com) – The Electoral Office that manages the election process in St. Kitts and Nevis, has established 11 locations to facilitate the official Nomination of candidates, on Wednesday, 27th May, 2020.

This has been confirmed by the Supervisor of Elections, Elvin Bailey.

He said on Friday night, that the time slated for the nomination is 10:00am-1:00pm and again from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and each candidate must be nominated by at least two persons who are duly registered in the constituency, where the candidate is hoping to contest.

However, the candidate himself/herself, does not have to be either registered or living in the constituency  where he/she would be running.

Bailey said that, consistent with the National Assembly Elections Act, nominations for the qualified candidates will take place at the following places:

St. Kitts 

Constituency One: Police Training School

Constituency Two: McKnight Community Center

Constituency Three: St. Johnson Community Center

Constituency Four: Old Road Community Center

Constituency Five: Sandy Point Police Station

Constituency Six: Dieppe Bay Police Station

Constituency Seven: Tabernacle Police Station

Constituency Eight: St. Peters Community Center

Nevis

Constituency Nine: Bath Community Center

Constituency Ten: David Freeman Center of Excellence

Constituency Eleven: Cotton Ground Community Center

The Register of Voters, explained the Supervisor of Elections, will be comprised of those persons who had been registered as of March, 31st ,2020.
