Motorcyclist injured trying to evade police

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 12th June, 2019, (MyVueNews.com) – Investigations are continuing into a motor accident that occurred on Whit Monday, 10th June 2019 in the Basseterre area.
Police have explained that the accident occurred when the driver of motorcycle, PB 2708, was driving on the Island Main Road in the vicinity of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.
They say, they were at the time on patrol when they discovered the motorcycle that was driving without the headlights on.
Police identified the motorcyclist as Dominique Greene of Old Road. They say they attempted to stop Greene using the siren and lights but he refused to comply.
According to police, the accident occurred while Greene was allegedly trying to evade their custody. The police attempted to stop Greene using the siren and lights but he refused to comply.
The accident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. Monday night and also involved motor jeep P 372 owned and driven by Learie Hobson of Shadwell Gardens.
While evading the police, he collided with the right rear section of motor jeep P 372 which was travelling from west to east along Cayon Street and indicated to turn right on Cunningham Street.
Greene sustained injuries and was transported to the JNF General Hospital where was treated for his injuries and discharged.
