Basseterre, St. Kitts, Tuesday, 9th July, 2019, (MyVueNews.com)- With just weeks after the hugely successful 23rd edition of the St. Kitts Music Festival, organizers are already turning their attention to the 2010 version of the Caribbean’s top musical extravaganza.
According to some officials, the committee has started its forecast on possible artistes that can be considered for 2020, but to date, they remain mum on the specifics.
Instead, they appear more willing to provide details on the 2019 series of concerts and fringe events, which from all reports, pivoted the annual event to the head of the class of all Caribbean festivals.
A release from the committee has stated that top officials will be hosting a post festival press conference on Wednesday, 17th July, at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Tourism, located in the Pelican Mall, Basseterre, from 10:00am-11:00am.
The release indicated that the Minister of Tourism, Lindsay Grant, who also has responsibility for the festival; Chairman, Damion Hobson; Marketing Chairman, Val Henry of VhCommunications and Chairman of the Artistes Selection Committee and Productions, Ambassador Jonel Powell, will comprise the panel of officials before the St. Kitts & Nevis media pool.
They are expected to provide a review of the five day festival, but in particular the nightly concerts that were staged from Thursday, 27th – Saturday, 29th June, at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium, which was the site of this year’s celebration.
The conference is expected to be carried live on all local radio stations and via social media.
The 2019 St. Kitts Music Festival was held from Wednesday, 26th with the Welcome Reception at the Marina at Christophe Harbour and the Escape Fete at Salt Plage, ending on Sunday, 30th June with the White Sands at Carambola, Friars Bay.
