Trio in Police custody now charged

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 18th September, 2018 (MyVueNews.com) – Police reported on Tuesday, 18th September, that three men, who have been held in custody have now been formally arrested and charged.

The arrests and charges stem from what Police described as the largest ammunition and second largest firearm find in the Federation.

Ishawn Wilkes of Mad House Alley, Newtown, Utendale Whyte of Walwyn Avenue, McKnight and Keneil Halls of Keys Village were all given eleven (11) charges in the matter on 15th September.

They have been charged with Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, Possession of Ammunition to wit eighty-eight (88) .45 mm rounds, Possession of Ammunition to wit eighty-six (86) .40 mm rounds, Possession of Ammunition to wit forty-three (43) 9mm rounds, Possession of Ammunition to wit thirty-seven (37) 7.62 mm rounds, Possession of Ammunition to wit thirty-three (33) .38 mm rounds, Possession of Firearm to wit one (1) .38 Smith and Wesson revolver, Possession of Firearm to wit one (1) Glock .27 pistol, Possession of Firearm to wit one (1) Glock .26 pistol, Possession of Firearm to wit one (1) Glock .21 pistol, Possession of Firearm to wit one (1) Glock .22 pistol and Possession of Firearm to wit one (1) Glock .17 pistol.

The firearms and ammunition were found during an operation the Police conducted in Keys Village on 12th September.

Another individual is being sought by Police in relation to the matter.

The find brings the number of firearms taken into Police custody for the year to 29.
