Reports further revealed that District Medical Officer, Dr. Chandy Jacob visited the scene at about 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning and pronounced the teenager dead while the boy’s mother was reported to have lost consciousness on seeing her son’s body hanging from the tree.
She was transported by police to the Alexandra Hospital, where she was treated for shock.
Investigations into this latest tragedy are ongoing.

This suicide brings the total number of deaths in the Federation to nine (9) for 2010.
