According to Henderson, despite the best efforts by the security forces to conduct patrols in the known hotspots, the unfortunate happened.
“We are somewhat still happy to report that since the last murder which took place in August in the Newtown area as well, we have been able to suppress the gun related murders in the Federation,” the Inspector told MiyVue.com.
Henderson went on to further explain the ways in which the security forces have been able to combat the issue of crime in the Federation.
“We have stepped up the police presence in the known hotspots and carrying out intelligence led operations, whereby we have removed in excess of 36 fire arms from the streets, for this year,” he added.
Corey Griffin was found murdered on Thursday 28th October at the corner of Mad House Alley and Pitcairn Street, following a drive – by, according to the police PRO.
Griffin’s death marks the 19th murder to have taken place in the Federation for the year.
