Vice President Lester Hanley said the team represented the federation with distinction.
“We have again made it to the medal podium with a third place finish (Bronze Medal) in the 4x100m Men’s Final. We congratulate Jason Rogers, Kim Collins, Antoine Adams and Brijesh Lawrence for their brilliant performance in this event, which marked the closing of the 13th IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011.
Delwayne Delaney was also a member of the relay team.
Hanley said, “With this third place finish, we have realized yet another goal of the SKNAAA for the 2011 Athletics season. Now, we turn our focus to finishing the season with a strong showing at the PAN AM Games in Mexico and then on to the 2012 Olympic Games in London England next year.”
The SKNAAA VP continued, “We are also extremely pleased that our relay team has set a new national record in the heats. They clocked 38.47 which were 0.02 seconds faster than the time they ran in the finals (38.49).”
Congratulations were also extended to the management team in Daegu; Iston Williams (Team Leader), Lonzo Wilkinson (Technical Leader) and Glenville Jeffers (SKNAAA President).
The SKNAAA Vice President told them that “Our Nation celebrates this achievement with you.”
