This is because the first autopsy that was carried out on his body has been inconclusive. It is now being reported that a second autopsy has been ordered and a doctor is being flown in to help resolve the matter.
When 10 year old Kadeem Pereira’s body was found in the bushes on Monday morning, police indicated at the time that they had not found any evidence of foul play but that a closer examination would be necessary before any final determination could be made.
Kadeem was reported missing after he failed to return home on Saturday evening after making a grocery errand, at a nearby shop, for his mother. The alarm was sounded and contingents from the Defense Force, Police and a K9 unit from the Ross University, responded to help find the youth. Unfortunately when they did find him, he was already dead.
Authorities are now indicating that Pathologist, Dr. Stephen Jones of Barbados will be flying in to conduct the new post mortem.
Kadeem, whose 10th birthday was also on Monday, lived not too far away in the nearby village, in Godwin Ghaut, with his mother and other relatives.
