Adrian Williams Breaks CAC Javelin Record

Among the junior athletes is star javelin thrower, Adrian Williams, who broke the record in the boys Junior B Javelin category, at the 2012 CAC Junior A & B Championships. 

In a release from team leader and public relations officer of St. Kitts- Nevis Amateur Athletic Association, Evris Huggins, Adrian Williams won gold with a new record distance, eclipsing the previous twelve year mark by 7 meters. Adrian threw 68.41 meters.   

After three days of competition in El Salvador, the Federation’s junior ambassadors represented their country well, attaining three medals. 

Other medals went to Clairvorn Kelly who got bronze in the Junior B High Jump, while Renika Daniel took similar (bronze) honours in the Junior B 400m. 

The team will be arriving at the RLB International Airport this evening (Tuesday 3rd July 2012) at 9:20pm on board LIAT flight # 369. 

Adrian Williams has also broken records at the 2012 TDC Interschool Championships and is currently the national record holder for the event with the mark that was achieved at the 2012 National Invitational and Club Championships.
