The Statistics Department of the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) reports an increase in outward bound and inward bound passengers.
It said 32,843 passengers passed through the major port on entry in 2011 compared to 31,827, an increase of 1,016, or up 3.19 percent.
A 3.37 percent increase in outward bound passengers was also recorded. There were 34,518 passengers departing in the third quarter of 2011 compared 33,393 passengers, an increase of 1,125.
SCASPA also reports 564 passengers arrived and 533 departed on other aircraft including private jets.
SCASPA also reports a three percent decrease in aircraft movement inwards from 1,502 in 2010 to 1,451 in 2011 and outbound down 3 percent from 1,502 to 1,453.
There was a 5 percent increase in outward cargo and a 7 percent drop in incoming cargo via the airport.
