Alleged Royal Bank robbers nabbed

A police press release informs that on that day, “Police officers from the Basseterre area responded to a report of robbery at Royal Bank, Valu Mart Complex at Wellington Road. Upon arrival at the scene the robbers had already fled the scene, however investigations were on-going since.” 

The release further informs that on Thursday, 3rd December, 2010, “Officers from the Criminal Investigations Department felt proud to be in a position to formally arrest and charge three (3) persons on warrant in the first instance for the armed robbery of a certain customer who was at the bank.” 

The arrested persons are 27-year-old Phillip Jones of Tabernacle, Jervin Rawlins of Tabernacle (27) and Exzavier Elliott of John England Village who is 28-years-old. 

The three, the police inform, were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and are waiting trial. Investigations are ongoing.
