Nyon Dasent of Wellington Road was formally charged for the offence which was committed on 19th January, 2012
Shakeem ‘Hotness’ Walters, was discovered in a pool of blood near the National Housing Authority in the early hours of Friday morning.
Reports are suggesting that Walters is paralyzed from the waist down, but is able to speak.
Reports are also stating that both of his eyes are swollen shut and was expected to undergo more tests early this week.
Walter is said to be in critical condition at the JNF Hospital after undergoing emergency surgery on Friday to remove a bullet from his head.
The Criminal Investigation Department has also announced significant progress made during the week of 15th January 2012.
Insp Smithen has reported that during the period under review among other investigative work done five matters were detected in which persons were formally arrested and charged.
On the January, 2012 Kimani Johnson was formally arrested and charged for wounding and for Malicious Damage.
On 17 January, 2012 Alfred Browne of St Pauls was formally arrested and charged for receiving a Blackberry cellular phone.
On the 20 January,2012 Tara Flanders of Cayon Street was formally arrested and charged for wounding Imbrookeal Byron with intent to do him grievous bodily harm. Offence was committed on 2 January, 2012.
Brian Francis alias “Junk-A-Body” of Needmust was formally arrested and charged for breaking into the Newtown Health Centre and stealing various items on the 19th January, 2012.
