Allison Rouse Named Police Officer of the Year by Rotary Club of Liamuiga

The recognition of the work of the police was provided this week in the presentation of a special award to a female officer, stationed in Basseterre.

At its installation dinner on Saturday 2nd July, at the Nirvana Restaurant, the Rotary Club of Liamuiga made its presentation to Woman Police Officer, Allison Rouse, who is attached to the Tourist Patrol Unit. Rouse was named by the Rotary Club of Liamuiga, as the Police Officer of the Year.

Officer Rouse, according to the President of the club, Mr. Eustace Warner, was selected for her dedicated and outstanding service to the Force and the community. For this distinction WPC Allison Rouse received $1000.00 along with the award. Members of the Rotary Club and well wishers joined the Commissioner of Police Mr. Austin Williams and the High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force in congratulating WPC Allison Rouse for her outstanding and dedicated service.

The Commissioner of Police also extended special thanks to the Rotary Club of Liamuiga for their consistency in partnering with the Police in this tangible way. Last year the Rotary Club of Liamuiga awarded Police Constable Dexter Jacobs as Police Officer of the Year. Dexter Jacobs has since been promoted to Corporal.

During the ceremony, new executive members were installed for the various Rotary Clubs on both St. Kitts and Nevis.
