In a press statement police officials indicated that on 11th April 2012 Brian Browne of Molineaux and Livingston Henry of Phillips Village were arrested and formally charged for the offences of Possession of Controlled Drugs, and Possession of Controlled Drugs with Intent to supply.
The releases further stated that they executed a search warrant on the premises of Henry and a quantity of cured marijuana, with a street value of $39,000.00, was found during the search and was taken into Police custody. Livingston Henry who was present during the search was arrested. Henry was formally charged and cautioned for possession of cannabis.
Similarly, Bruce Nolan aka ‘ghetto lion’ was found with a quantity of cannabis and was arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis.
A search warrant was subsequently executed on his premises and a large quantity of cannabis was found on his premises. He was further charged for Possession of and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to supply to another.
Police also indicated that an undisclosed sum of money was seized because it is suspected to be proceeds of criminal activities.
Officers of the Delta Squad conducted a series of patrols in the Parsons and Saddlers mountain areas and were able to locate and uproot two thousand two hundred and twenty (2,220) marijuana plants ranging from seedling to 5′ in height.
