ANGUILLA-CARICOM-Opposition wants delegation’s report before agreeing to second visit

Opposition Leader Evans McNeil Rogers, in a letter to the CARICOM Secretary General said that it was “appalling to have a read a CMC news item emanating from the recently held CARICOM leaders meeting in Suriname dated March 12, 2012, which stated that the Caricom leaders are to send a delegation to Anguilla at the earliest opportunity in a bid to defuse the public tension between the Governor William Alistair Harrison and the Chief Minister Hubert Hughes.”

The report had quoted a statement the leaders attached to the communique arising from their mid-term, or inter-sessional, summit held last week in Paramaribo.
