Annual Consultation to focus on “Green Economy”

The exercise in good governance, transparency and accountability by the ruling St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration is in preparation for the annual presentation of the Budget in December.

This year’s consultation is being held under the theme “The Green Economy- A pathway Towards a Sustainable Future.” 

The Ministry of Finance said it will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on both days. 

Economic partners will meet on Thursday and Social partners on Friday so as to facilitate greater dialogue between the various stakeholders.

The Opening Ceremony on Today will see the invocation being said by Rev. Christopher Archibald of the St. Kitts Christian Council.

Welcome remarks will be said by the Financial Secretary, Mrs. Hilary Hazel.

Remarks will be said by Mr. David Lake, President of the St. Kitts and Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce; Sir K. Dwight Venner, Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank; Vance Amory, Premier of Nevis and the Feature Address by the  Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
