The Prime Minister made the announcements during his 16th February, 2011 press conference held to update the media on matters of national interest.
Dr. Douglas informed that Mrs. Patricia Martin has been appointed Acting Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Tourism and International Transport, a position in which she has serve since September 2010.
The PM also informed that Kurt Lewis is Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports, Information Technology, Telecommunications and Posts. Lewis acts in the absence of Mr. Lloyd Lazar who according to Dr. Douglas “is on extended leave”.
Because Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Housing, Public Utilities and Works, Oaklyn Peets “have been seconded to the Petro Caribe Office here in St. Kitts”, Mr. Lenrick Lake performs as Acting Permanent Secretary those ministries.
Further indicated by the Prime Minister is that Mrs. Blondel Franks has been appointed Personnel Officer in Ministry of Education and Information. She replaces Mr. Wrenford Rogers who has retired after years of distinguished public service, first at SSMC, and in his latter years, in the Ministry of Education.
Replacing Mr. Antonio Wilson who has gone into retirement, Mr. Clyde Thompson was appointed Registrar of Cooperatives.
