Asim Martin: Things are going smoothly sought comment from the candidate regarding the early voting that would have been taking place at Police Headquarters, Lozack Road. He remarked, “Things were going smoothly… Mechanisms were put in place to facilitate that”.

Regarding the list for early voters in constituency #1, Martin was non-committal as to when the list was received or any problem found with the list. He deferred to his “team”, which he said, “would have been directly involved” in such matters

“The office (his constituency office) would have had notification of it, and they would have been informed. However, I have not had a chance to interact with them,” he said.

Asked about his prospects on election day, Martin said his volunteers have been working very hard, dedicating a lot of time and service to ensure that East Basseterre is returned to Labour, and to ensure that Labour returns to the Government.

He thanked his supporters in East Basseterre for their support over the years, and preemptively expressed thanks to them for voting him and the Labour Party back into government on Election Day.
