Basseterre, Thursday,22nd July, 2021 (MyVue News.com)-The official medical report on the death of Travis Clarke in Nevis, has confirmed what everyone already knew. The 36-year old died from hypovolemic shock as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
Those wounds are said to have been inflicted by 26-year old Patrick Howell, who first surrendered to police, only to escape briefly, shortly after being taken into custody.
The autopsy was performed by Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
It was just after 3:00 pm last Friday when gunshots rang out in the heart of the Nevisian capital, Charlestown, leaving Clarke dead in the streets, while trying to escape his attacker.
Formal charges have since been brought against Howell, a resident of Cane Garden. He is charged with murder and for the offences of Robbery and Larceny which were all committed on July 16, 2021.
He has also been charged for the offence of Escaping Lawful Custody which occurred on July 18, 2021.
Howell has been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
