Bank of Saint Lucia Captures 2010 ECCU Best Corporate Citizen Award

 

The ECCU Best Corporate Citizen Award, which the ECCB initiated in 1997, recognises banks that implement, support and participate in activities that contribute to the overall development of the people and communities in which they operate.

Good Corporate Citizen Awards are presented to the banks that are adjudged to have executed their corporate social responsibilities to the highest level in the areas of: Educational Development, Community Outreach and Social Services, Environmental Awareness, Sports, Cultural Development, Customer Service and Financial Education and Empowerment.

The Corporate Citizen Award was presented to the overall winner, The Bank of Saint Lucia, which also captured four of the Good Corporate Citizen Awards. These included, Educational Development, Environmental Awareness, Cultural Development and Financial Education and Empowerment.

The other winners in the ECCU 2010 Best Corporate Citizen Award among Commercial Banks were:

The Republic Bank (Grenada) Limited, which captured the Good Corporate Citizen Awards for Customer Service and Community Outreach and Social Services.

Scotia Bank of Antigua received the Good Corporate Citizen Award for Sports.

Thirteen of the commercial banks that operate within the ECCU participated in this year’s competition.

The award ceremony was held at the ECCB Headquarters on 3rd November, following the presentation of the 15th Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture.
