Earlier, T&T had put on 338 after being asked to bat, with captain and wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin top scoring with 88.
While Fidel Edwards had been the star with the ball for Barbados in the first innings, with 5 for 64, in T&T’s second innings the bowlers combined to bowl them out for a mere 119. Again, Ramdin was the visitors’ top scorer with 37. The meant Barbados needed 179 to win and a half-century stand for the second wicket between Kraigg Brathwaite and captain Kirk Edwards put them well on their way.
Eventually they got home with five wickets to spare, taking 12 points for the win while T&T gained four for securing the first-innings lead. Edwards, who had also made 70 in the first innings, was named the Man of the Match.
