Basseterre to come alive for Sugar Mas

The street will be lined with vendors selling Kittitian food, treats and local arts & crafts. Entertainment will include folklore, a lunch hour Calypso tent, steel pan and cultural dance performances.

“Basseterre Alive” is a new event added to this year’s National Carnival which would add a cultural flare to mark the 40th Anniversary of National Carnival.

The event is a joint venture organised by the National Carnival Committee and the Ministry of Culture. The fun begins at 12:00 noon and ends at 6:00 pm. It will be a fun day for families and visitors to our shores.

Sugar Mas 40:40 officially opens on the 25th November and runs to 3rd January 2011
