The Groovy segment of the show came first, which saw a shy crowd staying away at first, but as the evening progressed, they got closer and closer to the stage. Popular artistes such as Gharlic, X- Man, King Konris, Anastasia and others rocked the crowd.

Shortly after the groovy segment was completed, some of the artistes then prepared themselves for the highly anticipated power segment, which veteran performer Contenda opened witha flying start he was followed by A Stitch in Time who kept the same momentum.

After a brief interval for rain the crowd came back out to enjoy performances from X- Man and Fantastic Tunda,  then the rains came again but the show continued and crowd favourite Mighty Honesty, performing one of the most popular songs for  2011 carnival, “stupidness”, had a large section of the crowd dancing and jumping up despite the heavy rainfall.

Veteran vocalist of the Small Axe Band, “Mr. World”, brought the crowd back into the rain with his popular song Soap Drop.

The eight groovy artistes selected by the judges were, Cinnamon,  A Stitch In Time,   Ali Dee,  Nickhail,  Shakki Starfire,  Queen Anastasia,  X-Man and  King Konris.

Eight power artistes selected were, A Stitch In Time, Ali Dee, Shakki Star Fire, Fantastic Tunda, Mr World, Contenda, Mighty Takeover and Mighty Honesty.

An additional power artiste will be selected through a text to vote promotion. Details will be given in subsequent news article.
