In an exclusive interview with Miyvue.com Carl Moore, manager of the Guyana team, he stated, “The problem started on Wednesday morning after he (Bishoo) was complaining with the diarrhoea and we had to take him to the hospital. The diarrhoea weakened his system and they advised that he should rest because he is getting the dengue fever so they advised him not to take too much sun and he had to undergo two sets of drips and is (now), resting up.”
The Manager also stated that Bishoo will be around on the grounds sometime today (Friday), where he will remain with the team despite earlier reports, indicating that he would be travelling back to Guyana. Bishoo will remain with the team given that he is now looking much better today.
The team manager has also stated that Bishoo is an integral part of their set up and has been certainly missed for this game.
Bishoo has also grown to be an integral part of the West Indies line-up, after picking up 39 wickets in his first 10 matches.
