The lovebirds sat side-by-side in the audience as they waited for Bobbi Kristina Brown to be called up on stage to accept the Billboard Millennium Award, awarded to Whitney Houston.

Nick Gordon protectively escorted Bobbi Kristina up to the stage where she began crying while a video of her late mother was flashed on the screen after a moving performance of her mom’s hits by Jordin Sparks and John Legend.

Her aunt, Pat Houston, introduced Bobbi Kristina as the person Whitney loved most in this world. Bobbi Kristina, in a sparkly beige mini-dress, regained her composure enough to accept the award, saying, “I’m blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life.”

What a sweet, loving daughter. Whitney would have been so proud of her.
