The luncheon, which is scheduled for Sunday (17th June), starting at 12:30pm at the Manhattan Gardens in Lime Kiln, has become an annual event for the opposition party in St. Kitts.
Chairperson of the organizing committee, Ms. Natasha Grey, said that plans for the event have been finalized and the task now is to ensure that enough tickets are available for the overwhelming demand.
Grey also said the event, along with the Independence Ball and the May Day weekend activities are the most anticipated party organized events.
She added that the luncheon has drawn hundreds annually and that they expect no difference this year.
Organisers say have generated much interest from members of the general public, resulting in an increase in ticket sales.
The luncheon is organized by the East Basseterre PAM Group and has featured many exciting and distinguished speakers in the past, including former Junior Minister of Finance and social commentator Richard Caines, Minister in the NRP Nevis Island Administration Carlisle Powell, former Governor and historian Sir Probyn Inniss, social commentator Washington Archibald, former Deputy Leader of the Dominica Freedom Party Herbert Saborouche and former St. Lucian Prime Minister Stephenson King, among others.
