In Cooperation with the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC) the workshop title ‘Introduction to Occupational Environment Health and Safety’ will be held at the St Kitts Marriott Resort and the Royal Beach Casino from 25th-29th July 2011.
The course will reveal safety and health standards through the use of multimedia aids, role play, case studies, work projects and group exercises that will enhance health and safety in the work place. Participants will also gain training in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), International Maritime Dangerous goods code, Hazard types and Hazard control among other topics.
Caribbean Maritime Executive Director Mr Frits Pinnock and Caribbean Maritime Institute Trainer Wycliffe Frater will be assisting in these sessions and workshops.
The opening ceremony of the ‘Occupational, Environmental Health and Safety” course will be held on Monday 25th July at the St Kitts Marriott resort and the Royal Beach casino Between 8:15am and 8:45am. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport, Mrs. Patricia Martin and Caribbean Maritime Executive Director, Mr. Fritz Pinnock will be the featured speakers at the ceremony.
Registered Participants of the course will be awarded Certificates of Training upon completion.
