The Games will commence Friday afternoon, with the opening ceremony. Competition commences from Saturday 7th April 2012 thru Monday 9th April 2012.
In an earlier interview before the departure of team, much expectation was being shared about the possibilities of team members featuring in the medal count. In particular, much emphasis is on two time javelin champion, Adrian Williams, who will be competing in the Under 20 category.
Though a cricketer for most of his sport career, it was not until being drafted into athletics, at this level, back in 2010, that Williams was able to discover just how outstanding his abilities were, in this field event.
He is the first and only national of St. Kitts and Nevis to have won back to back gold medal titles at CARIFTA, in any category.
The team, which is being coached by Donell Esdaille, includes 13 athletes, who will compete in events such as javelin, shot put, long jump, 200m, 100m and the relays.
