MiyVue.com visited the scene and while the fire could not have been seen, the smoke which floated from within the units increased in thickness over a period of time.

According to information which was received by MiyVue.com, the unit from the Fire and Rescue Services was alerted of the fire sometime at about 3:40 p.m. and having visited the scene, discovered smoke rising from the a number of the rooms located on the western end of the premises.

The unit from the Fire and Rescue Services sprang into action and this media house understands, it was successful in containing and extinguishing the blaze. It is also understood that the fire was confined to an eating area which was being used as a storage facility.

A member of the Fire and Rescue Services Department told this media house that the contents of that room were destroyed and damaged with the walls, roof and floor being badly scorched. It is also understood that no damage was done to adjacent rooms on the premises.

The officers, according to reliable information, battled the blaze for over an hour and returned to base at approximately 6:00 p.m.

The cause of the fire is yet unknown and it is possible that an investigation would be launched to ascertain that information.
