Central Bank takes over control of 2 banks

In a release to the media on Tuesday, 13th August, the bank indicated that its actions are based on the provisions conferred on it by Part 11A, Article 5B of the ECCB Agreement Act 1983.

The two banks for which control has been assumed are two indigenous institutions which operate in Anguilla – the Caribbean Commercial Bank (Anguilla) Limited (CCB) and the National Bank of Anguilla Limited (NBA).

The move was made by the bank on 12 August 2013.
