This will be the first year under the new leadership of college president Dr. Kelvin Daly who was appointed to the post just last month (July), to replace Dr. Hermia Morton-Anthony.
The date set for the resumption of classes is Monday 26th August.
During the holidays however, most of the students would have been thinking about their results from the last major examinations. And as of last Friday, 9th August, these results were made known to the students, via the internet.
In a release issued over the weekend, the college also indicated that new students should begin registration for their various courses within their programmes. They said that such students should pay close attention to the scheduled dates, times and procedures, as well as the required dress code.
The college said that all incoming students who applied to the CFBC for the 2013 – 2014 academic year, and who meet the entry requirements for admission are required to attend Orientation on August 20, 2013, at the Main Campus, Burdon Street, Basseterre.
The Orientation begins at 9:00 am sharp and they said that this applies to students who applied to the Divisions of Arts, Sciences and General Studies (ASGS), Technical and Vocational Education and Management Studies (TVEMS), and Teacher Education.
They should be dressed in plain white shirt (with sleeves) and blue or black jeans/skirts or blue or black trousers.
However the registration for all returning ASGS students is also set for Tuesday 20th August, 2013. ALL returning students are required to report to the Multipurpose Room by 9:00 a.m. sharp in full CFBC uniform.
