In an exclusive interview with Miyvue.com Mr. Maynard said “The show was great and was one of the best contests we ever had. The young ladies had great talent and an extremely high standard.”
Maynard also outlined “For next year we would also like to take the show to a higher level and we now have to start planning early for us to make some improvements.”
Local reggae/dancehall artist Infamus was the featured artist for the evening and when asked if seeing more local artists will be a trend on the show, Mr. Maynard disclosed that other local acts will get an opportunity to perform, as long as they can prove they can continue the high standard that Infamus has already set. Once they can do that they will be recruited to perform on the show, said Maynard.
The show which had its 32nd edition last night saw Ms. St. Kitts’ Siobhan Phipps beating out 11 other competitors to capture the title of 2011 Digicel Haynes Smith Caribbean Talented Teen.
