Information previously received by MiyVue suggests that the incident was reported to the Charlestown Police Station at approximately 9:50 on that morning.
Head of Nevis’ Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Inspector Andre Mitchell told this media house that when police made their investigations, they found Thompson’s fully-clothed body lying on the inside of her home – in a pool of blood – with what appeared to be a stab wound.
Thompson reportedly shared the home with Wilkinson, their daughter and Thompson’s younger sister.
MiyVue understands that Wilkinson was taken into police custody shortly after the incident occurred and was officially charged with her murder on Thursday last (Nov. 4). It is also understood that the 28-year-old who hails from Lodge Village remains in police custody and is likely to appear before the court today for his arraignment.
Thompson, mother of one, was Nevis’ 5th murder for the year and the Federation’s 20th.
This media house was reliably informed that an autopsy was performed on Thompson’s remains on Saturday (Nov. 6) the results of which have yet to be made available to the public.
Investigations into the murder are ongoing.
