As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, as we spend time with family and friends, fulfilling the true meaning of Christmas, of peace and goodwill to all men, I ask for God’s blessing on our Federation that we may live in harmony with each other, that we will set aside our differences and work together to achieve our highest ideals.
This Season brings to an end a year of many challenges for our nation. We have been faced with severe economic and financial difficulties but by the Grace of God, we as Citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis, joining hands, can make our future brighter for ourselves and our children.
As a Nation, we have come to the realization that working together we will be better able to overcome the challenges that confront us now and in the future when we consider setting aside our philosophical, political and party differences.
As signified by the birth and life of Jesus Christ Our Saviour, who came to lift all creation from sin, not just the Jews or Gentiles, in that Spirit I hope we will extend our hands and goodwill to our brothers and sisters across the political divide to forge a common destiny of progress for all.
Again, on behalf of the Peoples Action Movement, I would like to wish each and everyone a Merry Christmas and a bright and prosperous New Year.
God Bless Our Federation.
