According to a company release, the Beach Club will become Christophe Harbour’s second private club amenity, following the golf course located at Priddie’s Point, overlooking the Sandy Bank Bay area.
Prime Minister of St. Kitts & Nevis, Denzil Douglas, is scheduled to lead a team of top government officials and representatives from Christophe Harbour, who will make presentations during an official ceremony that is planned for Thursday 5th August, to signal the commencement of the Beach Club.
The COO of Christophe Harbour, Legrand Elebash, is also expected to feature in the ceremony, along with representatives from DCK Worldwide.
DCK Worldwide, a global construction company, specializing in high-end hospitality development, will build the US$7 million complex.
The 9,400 square foot open air facility will include a swimming pool, changing area and covered beach bar and grille. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Beach Club will join the company’s Beach House restaurant, as a dining option at Christophe Harbour.
The new property is expected to be opened in early 2011 with 12 staff members, consisting of attendants for the beach, pool and changing area. Food and beverage staff will also be hired for the club.
Meanwhile, opportunities are said to be available for sub-contractors in St. Kitts & Nevis, who will be hired to perform certain specialized trade work during the construction phase. DCK Worldwide will serve as the general contractor, operating from offices in St. Kitts. They are reported to have developed some 80 projects in the Caribbean during their 15 year presence in the region.
