Ms Ladesa James, Country Manager, St Kitts and Nevis says “the donation is part of a regional contribution to the Red Kettle Appeal. It is also an expression of the bank’s appreciation for the contribution of the Salvation Army to the region over the past four hundred years.” She stated that the bank had thought that the donation would be a good gesture at this time of year, particularly in response to the Salvation Army Red Kettle appeal; and that the donation fit well within the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

Expresssing thanks on behalf of the Advisory Council of the Salvation Army, Mr Denzil Crooke said that he was pleased that the bank had stepped forward and continued to support the Salvation Army. He noted that the bank’s support of the Salvation Army dated back to a number of years and stated that he was pleased that the bank had sought to continue the relationship and to express its support in a tangible way.

The presentation, which was made at the Salvation Army on Cayon Street, Basseterre, demonstrated the bank’s commitment to caring for the communities within which it operated, and to be there for what matters.
