CIBC FirstCaribbean Small Business Forum a Success Encouraging Entrepreneurship

The Forum, which was held in the Banking Hall of the CIBC FirstCaribbean Basseterre Branch on 24th October 2012, included presentations on the challenges and solutions for small business owners and basic book keeping and accounting principles. The National Enterprise Development Division (NEDD) also provided information to participants on the incentives and concessions available from the NEDD.

Mr Ladimer Gumb, Small Business Officer said that the Forum, which was centered around the theme “If you cannot measure it then you cannot manage it” was organized to further sensitize the small business community about the impact and benefits of prudent business management.

About thirty small business owners who work as nail technicians, caterers, mechanics, taxi drivers, contractors, and photographers benefitted from the Forum. Participants expressed their sincere appreciation to CIBC FirstCaribbean for the exposure and practical tips which they gained from the session.
