“It was indeed a most grueling experience but the focus of all the commissioners was on ensuring that justice is done and we, all of us, are satisfied that justice has been done,” Wolfe said.
He said it is hoped that the report could help to improve the relations between the residents of Linden and the authorities.
“We are sure that if the recommendations we have made are implemented it will indeed have a very positive impact upon the relationship between the citizens of Linden and the government, between the citizens of Linden and the Guyana Police Force and between the citizens of Linden and their neighbours,” Wolfe said.
In accepting the report, Ramotar thanked the commissioners for the work done and added that he believed it would be “very instructive” as a guide for the way forward.
