Conaree remains in hunt for top spot as football returns to Warner Park

Opening the weekend’s action, SOL Island Auto Conaree FC blanketed Fast Cash SPD United 2-0, to remain in second position and maintain striking distance of table toppers, St. Paul’s. 

Goals from Jayan Duncan and Kishorne Ward, in the 25th and 59th minute, ensured that they remained three points ahead of the chasing third placed trio, Lime 4G Cayon Rockets, New town United and Garden Hotspurs.
 
On Saturday, double strikes each from Javiem Blanchette and Vinceroy Nelson, ensured that Lime Cayon Rockets completed a 6-0 hammering of Trinity United.

Blanchette netted in the 2nd and 39th minute, Shaguille Pringle, 43rd, Nelson in the 51st and 65th and Leverton Jeffers rocked home in the 60th minute.

Rams Village Superstars edged out Mantab 3-2, with Stephen Clarke’s 16th minute goal and Joseph Wilkes finding the back of the net in the 56th and 65th minute for the team victory.

The valiant efforts and goals of Jasim Morris, in the 30th minute, and Sylvester Alexander, in the 62nd minute, brought some respectability in Mantab’s losing effort.

In other action from Sunday, Hobson Enterprises Garden Hotspurs drew with St. Peter’s FC 1-1, with Rovan Wigley’s goal in the 82nd minute for Spurs, while Aiden Nurse save the day for St. Peter’s with a 85th minute goal.

Newtown United needled St. Paul’s United FC with Yohannes Mitchum slotting home a penalty in the 78th minute to complete a 1-0 victory.
