A release from the Hamilton’s office informed that residents are putting final touches on a celebratory week of activities in honor of their representative.
The group organizing the week explained that a number of activities will be staged to commemorate Hamilton’s laudable service after just one year as Parliamentary Representative.
Chairperson of the activities Committee David Saunders noted that a great deal of attention would be specifically given to recognizing the contributions made by senior citizens to the community.
“A major part of the week of activities would not only be to recognize the significant and sterling representation that Hon. Eugene Hamilton has made to the constituency in just a year but we want to also pay much homage and recognition to our Senior Citizens,” the Committee Chair said.
The release further outlined the schedule for the week of activities which begins on Sunday, 23rd January with a Thanksgiving Church Service, to be held at the Bethesda Moravian Church in Cayon at 10am.
On Monday 24th at 5:00 p.m. the Constituency representative and the constituency group will be conducting a walk-thru along with presentations of gift care packages to Senior Citizens in Keys Village.
A similar exercise will take place on Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th in Cayon, St.Peters and Conaree respectively.
A massive Public Meeting will be held on Thursday 26th at 8pm in Conaree and a special “5-Mile” stone restoration activity will take place on Tuesday 25th in Cayon.
Friday 28th January will see the hosting of a social gathering by the Constituency representative at his residence in Cayon.
There will also be an open house at the constituency office in Cayon on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th from 2pm to 4pm where Mr. Hamilton will be seeing constituents for one-on-one meetings.
A fun day has been planned to climax the week of activities on Saturday, 29th January at the St. Peters Playfield.
