The Chairman of the group on Saturday, 6th November gave notice that his group is in full support of the leadership of Lindsay F. Grant both at the constituency level and the national level.
Grant meanwhile is continuing his critical review of the performance of the ruling Labour Party Administration, accusing it of recklessness and wasteful spending.
Now he is accusing the Labour Administration of being bankrupt of ideas to chart the way forward for the St. Kitts and Nevis.
According to Grant, since 1999, the World Bank advised countries to publish strategies for poverty reduction but St. Kitts and Nevis has yet to publish the requested strategies.
“It is interesting that the government has not articulated such a strategy,” he said, adding that it is clear that, there are both PAM and Labour poor people, that are known by name and address from poverty assessment,
“This is a perfect example of the lack of vision and capacity to deliver this young nation from the brink of disaster,” the opposition leader added.
Mr Grant went on to say that, “Any strategy to include perceived PAM supporters will clearly not garner the attention of the present government. Thus there is no strategy only political handout with the result that with all the millions and millions of dollars being spent over the last 15 years there is no meaningful change in the livelihood of the poor amongst us.”
The announcement was made in light of the recent court decision delivered by Judge Harispashard-Charles to strike out the petition filed by Mr. Lindsay Grant against the January 25th election of Glen Phillip.
