A police press release revealed that on Tuesday, 7th December 2010, resident pathologist Dr. Nunez performed the autopsy on that date according to which, Elrick Prentice, also known as Elrick James, “died as a result of severe head injury” which was the result of a “ fall from approximately 30 feet”.
The fall, the press release indicated, resulted from an electric shock which the Sebastian Street resident sustained.
Reports reaching MiyVue.com indicate that Prentice, at the time of the incident was an employee of the Maroojani Construction Company, and was working on a building in the Bird Rock area.
The incident which caused Prentice’s demise occurred at about 11:00 on the morning of 3rd December 2010.
Sources close to this media house suggest that the incident transpired after a piece of equipment he was using, connected with a high-tension power line. MiyVue.com understands that the jolt from the shock flung Prentice from the building, causing him to plummet to the earth below.
He was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital and later that evening, he succumbed to his injuries.
