Chairman of the Committee for the Junior Kaiso Competition Mr Livingston Liburd accepted the cheque from Corporate Manager Ms Sophia Hamilton on Thursday 4th July 2011 at the CIBC First Caribbean Branch Office in Nevis.
Ms Hamilton Stated that the sponsorship demonstrated the bank’s Commitment to preserving Nevis’ rich cultural heritage and that supporting the Junior Kaiso talent contest provided a tangible way for the bank to encourage the continued development of the calypso art form amongst youngsters.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Culturama Committee, Mr Livingstone Liburd, Chairman for the Junior Kaiso Competition, expressed heartfelt thanks to the bank for co-sponsoring the event (for the third Consecutive year) and stated that the sponsorship would once again allow the organizing to host a successful event.
