After being postponed due to the passing of Tropical Storm Emily, the Delta Petroleum Cultural Street Parade brought down the curtains in Nevis.
The parade saw a mixture of colours and costumes worn by children and adults alike; dancing in the streets of Nevis to music played by a number of electronic bands. The troupes and bands on parade were also judged on that same day.
A number of songs were put forward by the electronic bands on Nevis in the Road March Contest. However, when the results were made available to the anxiously awaiting public it was the Ultra Sonic Band’s song ‘True Nevisian (Celebrate)’ that ruled the road, and winner the Road March Title for Culturama 2011.
