The Caribbean Examinations Council has also advised that students will be able to access their results directly from the CXC website.
They explain that results will be available from 8:00pm on Sunday 10th August, for CAPE, Tuesday 12th August for CSEC and Thursday 14th August CCSLC. They caution however that CXC reserves the right to adjust the release times as they have done in the past.
They also reminded that candidates with outstanding obligations to their institutions such as fees, SELF books including those who received government assistance through SELF and were absent for their exam or did not complete their coursework will be blocked from viewing their results.
Candidates will need to go the website ors.cxc.org/studentportal and enter their centre number which is the first six digits of their candidate or registration number. Other information required is last name, date of birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY and the period which would be either 2014 CAPE, 2014 June CSEC or 2014 CCSLC.
CXC Local Registrar in the Ministry of Education, Solomon Claxton, says that candidates should be patient as numerous candidates will be accessing the student portal and he advises that Internet Explorer is the browser of choice as Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome have proven to be problematic in the past.
