Education officials have indicated that the official results will be made known online from Friday 9th August, 2013.
A release from the ministry has confirmed that students who wrote the May-June sitting of the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) examinations will have access to their results from11:59pm on Friday 9th August 9 CAPE, Monday August 12 for CSEC and Tuesday August 13 for CCSLC.
According to CXC Local Registrar, Solomon Claxton, Students will need to go the website ors.cxc.org/studentportal with their registration number which is the same as their candidate number. The site will ask for the centre number which is the first six digits of the candidate number.
Mr. Claxton said that candidates would need to be patient as numerous candidates will be accessing the student portal at the same time. He added his best wishes and hopes that the results received are pleasing.
The registrar advised that persons in good standing would be successful in obtaining their results. But added that candidates who received government assistance through SELF and were absent for their examination or did not complete their coursework will be blocked from viewing their results.
Additionally, candidates with outstanding SELF books and fees for their institutions will also be blocked. In such cases individuals will have to meet the outstanding obligations prior to viewing the desired information.
it has also been disclosed that St. Kitts and Nevis has been chosen as the territory from which the overall report on the 2013 CXC Examinations will be released, during a live media event planned for the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium, at the Eastern caribbean Central Bank, on Friday 23rd August, starting at 2:00pm.
The report, which will feature results from the entire region, will highlight the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC), the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), as well as the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE).
Mr. Glenroy Cumberbatch, CXC Pro Registrar will present the 2013 examinations results. Also delivering remarks at the ceremony will be Dr. Didacus Jules, CXC Registrar, and Mrs. Susan Giles, Senior Assistant Registrar of the Examinations Administration and Security Division.
Minister responsible for Education and Information in St. Kitts and Nevis, Nigel Carty will deliver an address.
