A communiqué issued by that organization, informs that on Wednesday, 6th April, 2011, sometime between 5:00 am and 8:00 am, “A number of officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Criminal Investigations Unit executed a number of search warrants in the Conaree area in search of firearms, ammunition, controlled drugs and stolen property.”
It was during this operation that, “The premises of 29 year-old Leon “Dance” Isaac of Conaree but formally of Cayon and a portion of cured cannabis and a number of growing cannabis plants were recovered. One (1) .44 round of ammunition, one (1) .40 Smith & Wesson pistol with eight (8) matching round of ammunition were also found. Isaac was then formally arrested and charged for possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, possession of ammunition and possession of firearm.”
The release further informs that also during the operation, other items which are “suspected to be stolen” were found at a number of properties and “a numbers of persons of interest were interrogated in relation to a number of crimes.”
The public has been issued words of gratitude from the police force’s High Command for the “welcomed assistance” it provided in relation to the operation.
