Deputy Commissioner of Police Consults Solicitor on Corruption Allegations

In the most recent edition of the St. Kitts Nevis Observer Newspaper, dated 28th January, 2011, an article appears on the front page which levels a number of allegations at Deputy Commissioner of Police Liburd.

The scathing accusations include the collection of monies, the use of a police vehicle while his was inoperable – while a police station was left without a vehicle, and corruption.

Also featured in the article and accompanying the article which was entitled “Police Corruption”, was a picture of DCP Liburd.

MiyVue.com spoke with the DCP and questioned him on the matter and although he did not confirm or refute the allegations, he indicated that the time will come when he will speak, however, “I have no comment to make at this moment as I have already contacted my solicitor regarding this matter.”
