Digicel has been a sponsor of the annual event for the past six years and when asked by MiyVue.com the reasons for such large sponsorship, Marketing Manager, Genieve Hanley made it clear that it was because of the quality of the show and what it entails.
“One of the things that we look for when we are sponsoring, especially repeated sponsorships, is quality and the purpose. We believe that the Digicel Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen is a pageant of very high calibre both in terms of the performances and the organization of the event,” Hanley told MiyVue.com.
She also noted that the pageant gives young ladies the chance to showcase their talents and also that it fosters local and regional integration.
According to Hanley, the total sponsorship package is not limited to the sponsor’s cash contribution.
“We are also doing a lot of in-kind contributions in terms of phones, services which includes our text platform and we are giving away a number of prizes to both the audience members and the contestants,” the Marketing Manager explained.
Hanley told MiyVue.com that the overall figure is not yet available but with the addition of the in-kind contributions, the sponsorship amounts to more than the cash donation.
A total of twelve young ladies have been confirmed to participate in the show scheduled for 30th December. MiyVue.com is also a sponsor for the prestigious pageant.
